Kingswood Residential 2016 - Day 1

After having an initial tour and meeting our Kingswood group leader, the children were split into two groups group I and group J. The children were then given an opportunity to settle into their dormitories. After a brief kick about it was the most important part of the day dinner time! For dinner most children opted for the fish in bread crumbs with a selection of vegetables and salads. Once everyone had eaten their desert of mini doughnuts and chocolate sauce, it was on to the evening activities, aeroball and zip wire! All the children had fun and for many had challenging, first time experiences. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their activities as you can see in the pictures below. The evening was rounded off with a camp fire which saw the debut of Kingswood's Got Talent, a combination of singing, riddles, cartwheels and other interesting talents! Another fun filled day with a total of 7 activities awaits tomorrow!

Kingswood Residential 2016 - Day 3

You Can't Dampen Our Spirits!

Unfortunately the weather was not so kind to us on day 3, however the children and staff were determined that the weather would not ruin the day!

The day started with a healthy breakfast and packing to come home before breaking up into our groups for one final time.

Group I started the day with some problem solving followed by a team challenge. All the children had a go and pushed themselves, enjoying the rewards of a successful team challenge!

Group J on the other hand began the day with archery where the children became more accurate with every arrow fired! This was followed by problem solving, which after one or two problems, was taken indoors due to the weather.

One final delicious meal was had before boarding the coach to come home. Although tired, not one child or member of staff really wanted to come home! After a truly magnificent three days, everyone was looking forward to seeing the families again!
