Science

Welcome to our school Science page, where curiosity, discovery and hands‑on learning come to life! Here you can explore the exciting investigations, topics and experiments taking place across our school. We aim to inspire children to ask questions, think like scientists and develop a deep understanding of the world around them. We hope you enjoy seeing how our pupils explore, investigate and grow as young scientists throughout the year.

Curriculum Overview

Science curriculum intent

At St Saviours C of E primary, we understand that children are naturally curious and we encourage this inquisitive nature throughout their time with us and beyond. As one of the core subjects taught in Primary Schools, we give the teaching and learning of Science the prominence it requires. It will develop the natural curiosity of the child, encourage respect for living organisms and the physical environment and provide opportunities for critical evaluation of evidence. Pupils learn to question and discuss science-based issues that may affect their own lives, the direction of society and the future of the world.
