Reading Workshops

We were excited to welcome Year 1 parents to our recent Reading Workshop, where we came together to explore the crucial role of reading in early childhood development and share practical strategies for supporting children’s literacy at home.  The workshop also included a demonstration of a reading lesson, where our Year 1 teachers showed parents how we engage pupils in reading activities. The lesson featured the popular book Oi Frog!—a fun, rhyming story that had everyone laughing. Parents were able to observe how we use phonics, word recognition, and comprehension strategies in action.  Parents and children also worked together on a hands-on phonics activity. This interactive session allowed families to practice blending sounds and forming words, reinforcing the connection between home and school learning.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all the parents who attended and contributed to the workshop. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with you in supporting our young learners on their literacy journey!

                  Children's Mental Health Week

This year, Children's Mental Health Week focussed on the theme - Know Yourself, Grow Yourself!

The week was planned to encourage children to embrace self-awareness and explore what it means to them. This will help them grow and develop resilience to cope with what life throws at them.

During the week, the children completed tasks about their happy memories, core memories and designed their own personality islands. The activities were based on the popular movie Inside Out 2.
